It's been a while, but I wanted to post some info about a book I have been reading called, "The Speed of Trust," by Stephen M.R. Covey. For me, the topics brought to light how building and maintaining genuine trust in all relationships is an essential part of life and survival.  Awesome book! ~S~

Making mistakes in life can often be an uncomfortable experience. We might deal with feelings of guilt, disappointment, or just get mad at ourselves when we realize that we made a mistake—major or minor. We might beat ourselves up on the inside with a lot of negative self-talk, and we only hurt ourselves as life begins to manifest the negative things we are feeling. If you are finding yourself in this situation, please stop now! What you are doing is harmful to your body, mind, and soul.

On the Journey of Life, we live through each day doing the best we can under whatever circumstances we find ourselves under. Some days are harder than others, but overall, as time begins to pass like grains of sand in an hourglass, we can run ourselves down if we are not careful about maintaining health and vitality in a physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental sense.

I dedicate this episode to all the hard-working souls who are trying to make a difference in this world. Don't forget to take care of yourselves because we can accomplish much more when we remain healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

The Key to Getting What We Want Begins with a Proactive Mind.

It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day business of life. Often times, we can get so wrapped up in our own world and in our own way of thinking that we lose sight of the things that matter most. As the days, weeks, and months pass us by, we find ourselves at a crossroads and then we realize that we are not where we want to be. We ask ourselves,"How did I get here?"

I often read Stephen Coveys' 7 Habits of Highly Effective People because it helps me to refocus my energy, sharpen my resolve, and gather my personal resources, especially during times when life gets so hectic. In this episode, I share my reflections about what I have read in hopes that it may somehow resonate with others.
